I have one very small sub woofer with my computer speakers...IT IS TURNED ALL THE WAY DOWN. I listen to my music DURING THE DAY at a reasonable volume; its never on past 9pm.
Get out of your bubble, and realize you live in a college apartment complex. You pay close to nothing for rent, and mild headaches happen. If you want to be able to hear a pin drop, go live somewhere more expensive.
I have lived here for four years through school, and every year I have known my neighbors very well. Just come talk to me and I can accommodate, although I can''t conceive of how (the last police officer laughed when he arrived, because the music was not very loud for a 1pm call on a SATURDAY).
Maybe I''ll call the police next time I hear your 3 am drunken footsteps, because that must be the equivalent.
