You call that a merge?

All of you SOB's that think it's OK to wedge your way into traffic... you're wrong!! You can wait in the line at the red light like everyone else you inconsiderate POS. Don't think you have the right to skip the 20 second wait time. It's common sense and common courtesy a-holes. One day I hope it catches up with you. May you learn the hard way with a f-ed up car or a f-ed up face.

It is YOUR job to merge safely. DON'T blame other drivers just because you are too lazy to correctly time your merge and DON'T blame other drivers if you wait until the end of the acceleration lane to finally look for a space to change lanes. PAY attention to what your doing. I know it is hard sometimes to merge onto the expressway when there is alot of traffic. This especially hard when drivers on the expressway do not make room (in this instance I agree). However, when there is no traffic, like in some of the previous comments, it is your job to pace yourself so that YOU avoid the other drivers. THE DRIVERS ON THE EXPRESSWAY HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY, http://www.dds.ga.gov/docs/forms/FullDriversManual.pdf , check it yourself.

Yes, you are right...i should have worded my last post differently...i meant when people don't get over OR leave a space--when you are trying to merge and you are side-by-side with an oblivious driver with no cars in front of, beside, or behind him/her. I understand that in some cases there is traffic and letting someone on or even giving them space is not possible. I'm talking about the times that there is no traffic and it's just annoying that people aren't paying attention.

why is it that people who are supposed to merge in just expect you to move over and get out of the way... people on the interstate- leave a gap... people merging in- merge.... really it's not that difficult people

Why is it that people on the loop NEVER get over to let you merge on? It's basically the same as the interstate--but obviously these Athenians (and usually old ones) don't see it that way! I have witnessed and almost been involved in so many close calls involving these people who refuse to let you merge. The police who stalk the loop for speeders should start ticketing these people....they are definitely the most dangerous!

I'm with you. Just this morning an old wrinkly be-otch wouldn't get over to let me merge onto the loop. And the other lane was wide open. I had to hit my brakes and get in behind her. Then she promptly puts on her brakes. Some people are just plain stupid.
