The county requires that teachers meet with a "benefits adviser" during open enrollment every year. These people not only have little knowledge of what they are supposed to advise about, but they have no accountability when they are wrong.
Basically, CCSD _requires_ employees to meet with somebody who inherently has neither the employee's best interests nor the consequences of their "advise" at heart.
We all want to keep our good teachers. The best place to start is by treating them like adults and quit assuming they can't take it upon themselves to act like professionals. From choosing benefits to dress codes, CCSD never has the best interests of the teachers in mind.
