Stamp Cards

You know how some stores and restaurants have those stamp/punch cards where if you fill them up you get something free-
People! pay first, find your stupid card after.
Or, if you know you're going to use it, have it ready before you checkout.
It is the WORST-seriously, the worst- part of my job, when I'm cashing people out and I say "your total is this much money" and they say "Okay, I have one of those stamp cards around here somewhere!"
GREAT! that's AWESOME. But I require payment, idiot.
In the time it takes you to find your punch card (if it even exists) in the Bermuda Triangle that is your purse, I could have run your credit card, or made your change and had everything ready to go, but no. You choose the way that takes twice as long.
And, not to beat a dead horse, but seriously, if I ask you for money, give me money, don't go on about your stupid card. I've got five billion of them, I can give you more. It just proves you don't give the slightest damn about what i say when I ask you for your payment and you give me a piece of cardboard. Just pay me, and then I will stamp whatever you want. We're waiting for the receipt to print anyway. Stop wasting everyone's time. especially when there are tons of people waiting for you.
