Who do you think you are? Just because you run the parking lots on campus like Joseph Stalin doesn't give you the right to take parking away from the people who work on this campus. I understand the need to move graduation up by a day and I understand there is limited space, but telling us that "all other surface lots ... are readily accessible" is total BS. You know damn well the options you have given us are a mile away from our normal spots and the bit about faculty and staff "are encouraged to make alternative transportation plans" just shows your total arrogance. To the person(s) who developed this wonderful plan: Screw you!

Wow! You would actually torture people who work while at their job? You would attempt to fire employees that actually do work. Are you really that lazy or just that disturbed? Let me guess.... you have to park at the lot that is just oh so far away across the street and your pampered lazy ass can't walk that. Or better yet you got a ticket because you didn't read the signs when you entered the lot. You’re in college now, stop being so lazy. The money goes in someone's back pocket- brilliant- do some research before you spout stupidity.... Parking is just like food services- checkout auxiliary services. What you do not realize is those people who work outside sometimes during extreme weather conditions work there because it is a paycheck... and that barely supports their families. Welcome to UGA! A school focused on your money!

parking services is ridiculous and tries to steal our money. they have a monopoly on all the parking on campus and then shell out 40 dollar tickets if you're parked there for a minute, and they say that the money they charge goes to making the school better. how about it goes into someone's back pocket? i say boycott. ideas?

I would love to watch as the parking services staff gets horribly tortured so that I could laugh hysterically. That will happen when I am their boss and find out what they did during college. I will just fire them after they buy a house and have a baby. I just might die from laughing so much.

As a student worker, I would just like to add that the intersession parking rules as well as the intersession campus transit routes are also ridiculous! To get to my job on campus, I have to park in the East Campus garage and either wait 20 minutes for a bus or walk to my building. I'm all for exercise, but it's still a little ridiculous...

I got that same email from them. I realize parking on this campus is cheap, but we pay for it 12 months out of the year. Parking Services should recognize who their REAL customers are and act accordingly.
