it''s really not that hard you morons!
I was almost ran into twice last night while on the road between the hours of 5:15 to 6:30.
Really, though! it''s snow! don''t drive fast!
i will so kudos to all the people i saw helping out other people cars that got stuck in the roads. I even helped someone out! Way to go Athens!

I counted six cars without their headlights on, two of which were white, on Sunday around 2 (when it first started coming down hard). That''s not ignorance, its stupidity.

I understand that many people are inexperienced when it comes to driving in snowing conditions, but at least use common sense. I guess common sense just isn''t that common

Never have I seen so many people with 4-wheel drives that didn''t know what they were doing.

Believe me, I have a problem with how most people in Athens drive, whether they''re crazy reckless or they drive 20 mph in the fast lane on the Loop. But come on--we''re not used to snow and ice. It''s not every day that Athens, Georgia sees seven inches of snow. Cut us some slack :)

May I add as a corollary to this post that people also need to learn how to drive BEFORE the accumulation on the road turns into ice?

Long before there would have been ice on the road, I got stuck behind someone going only 10 mph on Baxter. In addition, their windshield wipers were going like crazy. THIS WAS NOT A BLIZZARD. It''s not like there were white-out conditions.

There''s a difference between driving slow and being safe in conditions like that and driving slow and being an idiot.

I sort of understand it though...part of my complaining is that I''m from up north...but STILL.
