HONKING FOR PEACE SEEMS COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE.

12 BUCKS ISN'T A LIVING WAGE. BESIDES, WHERE DO YOU THINK THAT RAISE COMES FROM? BUDGET CUTS? HAR HAR HAR. YEAH, THINK HIGHER TUITION, THINK HIGHER FEES.

WOMEN AGAINST... SOMETHING... ANYTHING... YEAH, DON'T REMEMBER YOUR MESSAGE, WHY? MAYBE YOU SHOULD RID THE "WOMEN AGAINST" AND JUST BE "NO ... BLAH" NO ONE CARES IF YOUR A MALE, A FEMALE, A SHE-MALE... OR JUST A CONFUSED SACK OF CRAP. NOW IF YOU SAID SLUTS AGAINST TEEN PREGNANCIES, I'D SAY YOU'D GET SOME ATTENTION.

PEOPLE HANDING OUT PETA FLIERS... PLANTS HAVE FEELINGS TOO. PEOPLE ENJOY EATING TASTY ANIMALS, MAYBE PIGS SHOULD HAVE EVOLVED A LITTLE FASTER. BUT I WILL READ THEM AND I WILL LAUGH AT THEM, AND THEN I WILL EAT A BOAT LOAD OF CHICKEN WINGS SOON THEREAFTER.

"A VILLAGE IN KENYA IS MISSING AN IDIOT" << I SAW THIS ONE RECENTLY... WTF DOES THAT MEAN?! IF YOU'RE HINTING AT OBAMA, HE'S FROM HAWAII, THAT'S JUST IGNORANT. IF NOT... WTF DOES THAT MEAN?!

AND PLEASE DON'T HAND ME NEW TESTAMENTS... ANYONE. I DON'T LIKE THEM, I DON'T READ THEM. PERHAPS YOU COULD GIVE THAT MONEY TO A GOOD CHARITY INSTEAD OF WASTING IT ON WASTED PRINTS... HMM?

ANYTHING ELSE?

THESE PROTESTERS HAVEN'T CHANGED MY VIEWS ON ANYTHING. GOOD FOR THOSE, WHOSE VIEWS HAVE BEEN CHANGED.

AGAIN, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO, BUT YOU MAY WANT TO CHANGE TACTICS. IF YOU BEAT A DEAD HORSE ENOUGH WITH A STICK, YOU'VE GOT TO CHANGE BLUDGEONING TOOLS. :D

It is possible for everyone to make a "living wage". However, it is not done by any sort of minimum wage or government funding, but rather by tax reform and tax cuts that ensure people are not taxed more than 10% of their income. See http://midimagic.sgc-hosting.com/autotax.htm for details. The FairTax is a step in the right direction but it isn't enough.

Sure, it is possible to give everyone $12 per hour if we give other people a lot less money. Obviously, Michael Adams does not need that much money to live off of. The problem is that if everyone is making $12 an hour we tend to shift more toward communism. Also, if minimum waged were jacked up that high, material goods and services would cost more for everyone else. I'm not really sure how that group defines "living wage" anyway. Yes, it is probably plenty of money to feed one person and provide them with somewhere to live. Is it really a good amount of money? That's purely subjective I suppose. I don't think it's enough money to create a living situation with financial stability. If I did, I would quit school and stick with my job.

That's not true. It definitely is possible for everyone in society to have a living wage. For example, look at the University. Take a look at what Michael Adams is making. Think about how many people could live off of that for a year. A LOT.

Money is distributed extraordinarily unevenly...not that everything should be distributed equally, but the money is there for people that work to live off of, it's just tacked on to an already-ridiculous amount being paid to what is largely a figurehead.

All caps posts seem counter-productive as well.

Yeah, I'm not much of an Obama fan but I think it is extremely ignorant to say the whole bit about the Kenyan village idiot. It is just plain rude and it makes the sign holders seem racist and brainless. Even if they did have some sort of good point, it is never going to be heard because of this ridiculous sign.

$12 an hour is not a living wage. I make about that much now at my part-time job and I think I would just kill myself if I knew that is all I would ever make. Even if a family has two individuals earning 12 bucks an hour, it would be virtually impossible for them to have kids, retire, go on vacation, etc. without being up to their eyeballs in debt or on some kind of extreme government assistance. It's just not possible for everyone in society to make a 'living wage.'
