Two sides to every story...

What is it with "same-siders" at restaurants in town? You know, when one couple at a booth both sit on the same side, leaving the other side empty. Can they not stand to look each other in the face?

I thought all that ended with middle school.

It's a romantic thing. I'm a waiter, and if I see that, it reminds me a little bit more every day that romance is not dead. It's out there. You just have to find it....within yourself and others

It's sweet, jerkface.

Sometimes it's a practical way to deal with the arrangement of the table and the room. You f**king idiot.

I felt the same way. You don't see couple booths that have only one "two-seater" and a table. But I suppose they just like to sit together. I think about it now and then, I remember wanting to sit by my chickee-poo in a restaurant while eating. Maybe we were cold or something... but this was a whiiiiile ago. We've been together for 4 years. Like someone said, it's a romantic thing. I haven't done that in a long time, maybe all you guys out there should do so for Valentines Day, you know, so you can ensure that surprise we should be getting on that day. haha

Does it matter? I don't see why it matters whether they're sitting next to each other or across from each other. I seriously doubt that people who can't stand to look at each other would be eating together.

It's something low status and needy males will do to girls to maintain having sex with.
