Why don't you quit trying to rip students off and focus on delivering a better service hmmm?
My internet is slow and you won't fix it. it's supposed to be at 5megs.. but instead it hovers below 1. My television channels, apparently, will have a filter put on soon... and I'll be paying what? $60 a month for $hitty service and no TV? Really? No thank you. If you aren't going to fix it, I'm going to satellite, or Bellsouth/AT&T. It's already a cash cow, you have no enormous expenses in comparison to the cable that you laid down years ago. It's a horrible experience, I'm going to let your company know, and I'm going to let all of Athens know just how I feel:

Charter, you suck suck suck suckity suck. I would not recommend it to anyone! Go else where.

Rip off students? They rip off everybody. Be prepared for them to repeatedly accuse you of not returning equipment you never rented from them and for your account to go to collections over it. I have AT&T now which used to be OK but now their connection drops out COMPLETELY. So if I'm watching a video it just stops and in many cases won't start again without refreshing the page.

Charter is absolutely horrible, but then again so are most of the cable companies out there. Dish Network is the Charter of satellite providers however and I would highly suggest you go with DirecTV. Can you believe this - DireTV actually called ME when there was a problem with our set top box. Amazing customer service.

I am still using Charter for Internet, but I call about every six months to renegotiate my deal. If they think you are going to jump to another provider, there are some big discounts that can be had. I am currently getting 20mbps internet service for the price of 5mbps.

Anyone have Uverse in Athens? Friends have it out of town and love it.

I used to have Charter years ago. They were completely horrible! Really bad customer service, internet was very slow and their already expensive prices seemed to be going up all the time. Not a fan of Charter at all!

I'm going to have to agree here Charter Communications. As a matter of fact ALL CABLE COMPANIES SUCK! You can put AT&T in that pile-o-steaming crap too.

Everyone has a right to make money and I'm all for capitalism but your "services" are way overpriced. $0.20 for a text message. Seriously? I've already switched to Dish Network for TV and as soon a viable alternative to DSL arrives (I simply won't use cable) then I'll be dumping your a$$ too. Good luck for the future. Thieves!
