Nice new roads and signs

Out of town for a week and Prince Avenue has been repaved. Heard they did it all at night too, nice. Way to go ACC, nice smooth roads are always an improvement. How about fixing Baxter now?

And I am loving the light up street signs that have been popping up around town, anyone know the details behind those? I saw them installing them on Prince awhile ago, but just now noticing that have been turning them on. Are they replacing all Athens street signs?

several recent sign installations have the wrong names. especially at the point where the street changes name. (1) There is no sign at all for Williams St. at its intersection with East Campus Rd/Thomas St, but there are several for Baldwin St. (2) The new overhead signs at the intersection of North Ave/Danielsville Rd and Old Hull Rd/Northcrest Dr suggest that North Ave. runs both north and south from that point, while leaving off Danielsville Rd. entirely. (3) At the intersection of Prince Ave. and Hawthorne Ave., signs show Jefferson Rd. beginning at that point, although it actually begins at 10 Loop. (4) The intersection of Oconee St. and Barnett Shoals Rd. probably has new incorrect signage as well but I haven't been there to see for myself.

i especially love how the crew putting in the sidewalk on lumpkin knocked the street sign off my street and then replaced it with the wrong name.... still waiting on that one to be fixed
